“In Christ we are invited to participate in the reality of God and the reality of the world at the same time, the one not without the other.”
“Thinking in terms of two realms understands the paired concepts worldy-Christian, natural-supernatural, profane-sacred, rational-revelationsl, as ultimate static opposites…and fails to recognize the original unity of these opposites in the Christ-reality.”
(Bonhoeffer, Ethics, 55; 58-59)

I just came across your blog as I was looking for specific Bonhoeffer quotes about dualism. I appreciate everything you have posted. You perspectives are interesting, and those you quote and learn from are exciting and inspiring to me. I wish I lived near you so that we could get together and chat about theology.
Check out my blog sometime, if you have a chance. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Hey jason, sorry for the loooong delay. I haven’t been on the blog for awhile. Glad you appreciated the quotes. I think dualism does more damage than we even know in how we perceive and live in the world as Christians. How did you end up using the quotes?
